PPI’s 2009 Summer Roundtable examined the volatility in the marketplace, building on our discussions during previous Roundtables. The program assessed prospects for investment in the environment and technology in the face of market conditions. Overlooking Monterey Bay in the middle of historic Cannery Row, the Summer Roundtable discussed the issues and concerns of pension fund executives and other institutional investors facing uncertainty in the markets and seeking solid ground. The program was led by co-chairs Roy Doumani, professor of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Russell Read, chief executive officer at C Change Investments.
