The 2010 Asian Pension Fund Roundtable marks PPI’s eighth annual gathering in Asia of senior plan sponsor and sovereign fund executives. On October 27-29, PPI again will convene a high-level dialogue between pension and sovereign fund representatives and experts in government, business, media, and the academy. Around the table will be long-term players in global financial markets, public sector, single- and multi-purpose pension funds, sovereign funds, private sector investment funds, family offices, and endowments. Scholarships will be available for qualifying Asian pension funds.
The 2010 Roundtable will focus on three questions: 1) What is risk in today’s context, and how is it being managed? 2) Which investment and operational strategies are optimal in the current climate? 3) Does the global economy in the next decade depend on Asia? As part of the Roundtable, PPI also hosts the third annual Master Class on risk management, directed this year by Keith Ambachtsheer with the University of Toronto’s International Centre for Pension Management.
Immediately preceding the Asian Pension Fund Roundtable will be the Asian Network Dinner. This invitation-only dinner will be held October 27 in the Shangri-La Hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The Roundtable will conclude with a master-class workshop and discussion after lunch on Friday, October 29. |
