At its annual winter meeting held February 24, PPI's Board of Directors elected Joseph A. Dear, chief investment officer of the California Public Employees' Retirement System as its new chair. 

Gordon J. Fyfe of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board was named as vice chair.  Ronald D. Schmitz, chief investment officer of the Oregon State Treasury is the new treasurer.  Ta-lin Hsu, chairman of H&Q Asia Pacific will remain as secretary for a second term.

New board members named were: Oliver Bolitho, managing director, Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC, Lisa Mazzocco, chief investment officer, Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, and Richelle Sugiyama, investment officer, Public Employees' Retirement System of Idaho.

Herb Meiberger, commissioner, City and County of San Francisco Employees' Retirement System was chosen to as a new member of PPI's Advisory Council.
